Sounds like he's doubting the location of where Crappie Pros fishin'
Unless I'm confused, it looks like Dano from Gold Creek confirmed his catch in a different post, so I don't quite understand where this is coming from.
Hey now Crappie Boy, this is a gentlemens board I suggest you act like one. Where's your report?
I think there may be some confusion about the cove...it seems to me CrappiePro is fishing right beside the highway. That water is deeper there than crappieboy mentioned. Sounds like someone hasn't had any in a while...crappie, that is. Just kidding! My boat's been empty too. I will be looking at it the next time I go in there though.
HUH! what the ?

I might be able to clear up some misunderstanding here. I once lived in Little Rock from 1960-1970, and travels just about every highway in Arkansas. I also know just about every fishing hole...lakes/big ponds in the state. After I moved from Little Rock back to Springfield, Mo I stilled traveled Arkansas until 1998. I can remember when there wasn't any Interstate 40 across Ark, or any other Interstate highway. All two lane roads was it.
Now back to the matter on where Crappie Pro caught his crappie. When you go west from the main lake, not very deep there... under Interstate 40 bridge you are in a small area of Gold Creek. Gold Creek runs west under the old Arkansas 365 highway bridge. One also has to go under the railroad bridge which is just west of the highway bridge. This is a very small channel, and if you continue west you will come to a "new" housing area which in on Lake Wilhelmina... Someone dug out a large area to form a lake with about 20 or so nice homes around the lake shoreline.
I would suspect Crappie Pro might have caught his crappie right below the Wilhelmina lake bridge.
A fishermam would have to have a jon boat or scamp to fish this small river. I couldn't take my 18' Skeeter in there. Too many stumps right under the water surface.

thegold creek channel from I-40 ramp runs 8-10ft deep average 40' wide approximate 3/4 mile west to willimena cove.clear trail now-plenty of 18 footers run up here nowadays.cove by the hy falls from 8' to 2' approx 128' deep north:rolleyes:,but anyways you know its a free for all, whoever got the skill the luck and listening power will more than likely succeed.im sure everyone can say once-i should of listened-i shouldnt have been so stubborn.I know i have more than once
IMO if CP caught the fish in thebig cove, the pool, the pond, lake willimena i believe he would have said so without the details.never the less heck of a good mess and exciting to all crappie fisherman. geez im going back fishing.
