im sure all you veterans have noticed has not been much for me to report through the winter,and you also know that has been unusual for here.
good news!yesterday 2 guys caught 27 in the pool with 1 bigun-no details.another guy caught 16 sorry no details.hope it keeps on.

I might give it a try tomorrow if the boat cooperates this afternoon, and lets me fix it (that being I can figure out what is wrong with it).

Back in 1967 one of the printers at the Log Cabin Democrat beg me to go fishing on Conway Lake. I accepted the fact he was to show me the largest crappie and bream in Arkansas. We went under the highway 65 bridge...it was US Highway 65 back then... no Interstate 40 was on the books at the time. Results: some big bream, no crappie.

I probably driven by or across the old 65 bridge over Gold creek some 350 times since, and wondered if there were crappie in what look like a "moss bed" of the greatest.
Maybe some one is feeding them there, beings there so many caught in the last week.
