Consider going to the local Corps of Engineers office there and ask for anyone there that can assist you. There is always someone that fishes on staff. If not them, I'm sure they can recommend a good guide or point you to one of the game and fish guys and maybe they will be able to assist.

This clear-water gig is a hard row to hoe! One day I will get the hang of it.

    Wishin' you the best.

    BUMP - BUMP - BUMP

Don't know how much help this will be but the guide on Lake Norfork I fished with years ago was Harvey of Hard Times Crappie Guide Service. Don't remember his last name and don't even know if he's still guiding, but he really knew his stuff. His unique feature was his rodholder made from a turnbuckle that you just balanced your rod in. Search him out if you can. I did countless web searches and got no hits.

    Thanks

I have done alot of searches for crappie guides on Norfork and I have not come across that name either. I appreciate the assistance though.

If I do come across his info, I will post it on here.

Thanks Cheri. I'm sure all the crappie fishermen who visit Norfork will appreciate the info. Got your email. Thanks again.

Hunter@Heart- The wife and I fished Norfork last weekend (4/3 & 4/4). We put in close to Mountain Home and fished up the river towards Missouri. We didn't catch very many fish but the quality was good, up to 14". We use 4# fluorocarbon line, 1/16 jigs with white the best color for us. We kept the boat a good long cast from the bank and slowly retrieved. On Saturday it was to windy for that so we just dropped our lines down about 10' and moved slowly down the bank keeping the boat in about 12' of water. This is a pattern that works for me in the spring.

    Good Luck

I got a report yesterday that they are catching some fishing the tops that fell in the Lake from the ice storm back in January.
