    Default foreign fish


    can someone tell me where the thread or pics are of the fish that can crawl on land and eats everything that was found in arkansas. i think i caught one the other day on an oxbow off the mississippi river but need to see a pic and cant seem to find them. Thanks

    that looks like it but the one i saw had a dot on its tail kind of like a red fish. dont know what it was. never seen one before. thanks for the pic though

    they have different color schemes just focus on overall shape, i read up on them and they can survive out of water like you said

    Could be a bowfin or grinnel as I grew up calling them

    Sounds like a native fish called a Bowfin or Grinnel. They are real similar.

    I was with gbaddour I believe it was the bowfin.It had the dot on the tail like a red fish has.

    If it was a bowfin it will stretch your string. Also don't put your finger in their mouth.
