Were you using the 200 or the 300 series Bandits?

    creekslick,

I would also like some more technique info. You said between 1.5 -2 mph, but did you use line counters, or planer boards? There was a chart on how deep bandits ran at specific line distances around here somewhere. any info would help.

I was on greers last week, trying to figure out how to catch walleye. hired a guide to try to put us on fish, but it didn't pan out. we trolled harnesses with nightcrawlers, on ledges and humps. never did find any fish. I learned a lot, but was a little dissapointed that we didn't catch anything. we fished in the morning also.

Line counters on 2 reels 100' the others ones I would just cast as far as I could.

Got me a handful of bandits the other day. Can't wait to try 'em out on some of my favorite oxbows, just the ones without much cover. I think I'd cry if I hung all of 'em at one time and broke off.

Couple questions for you Slick. Do you use your electric or gas motor? And what line do you use?

Ceb I have used both but I like the electric the most because of speed control. I had to pull a couple 5 gallon buckets with the gas motor to get under 2 mph. As for line I use 10# Wally Marshall high visibility, and make sure to get a plug knocker.

I think the TM would work out better for me. Are you using your front rod racks?

Yes I am using front rod holders but I have them mounted on a 20' pontoon.

    Creekslick,

What size weight would you use if you did like the question that I had in my post in this thread?
