well, with the tough times here, I again decided to go after the dreaded green carp. we wound up catching 11 total this morning, fished from 745 to1115. We found a good spinnerbait bite on the outside of the brush, and then wound up going to some timber to find a worm bite for the last 1 1/2 hrs. I caught this gal, 5 lbs, 4 oz. Measured 21 1/2". And the best for everyone else, I let her go. I still had a very nice mess of the green carp, but this is by far the big fish of the year, (so far). If I could just find the crappie as easy as I am finding the bass, I would feel so much better.

I am about to decide that crappie fishing is much harder to do than the bass fishing is, at least here on my lake at home. It seems so much easier to throw that spinnerbait, or pitch worms next to the trees than to sneak up on those crappie. I guess that's why I enjoy that crappie fishing better than bass. It is much more of a challenge. Hope the rest of you guys can get your thump on!
