Thanks a bunch.
I hope with the good weather we have had the last couple of days I can turn out some slabs.
Thanks for the information

Keep your head up. I find the spawn to be the least predictable time of the year for slabs. I can definately say that I've had more zeros in the spring than any other time of the year. Post-spawn can be fantastic 'till about the end of July. But I've found the absolute best time of the year to be January through March with November through January running a close second.
Catching crappie consistently is tough in itself. Pay attention to reports, do your homework, and be in the right place at the right time. You will find 'em...

that must be an arkansas thing. i have had a pretty fair year in alabama. the worst trip i hav ehad was 13 in a bout 2 hrs. this past saturday we caught 65-70. this time of year just fish docks with 1 a 1/32 oz jigs . try this.... go to walmart ( if you dont have anything like this) they have little 10 packs of chennille jigs. but a pack of 1/32 red head /black body / chartruese marabou tails. go to a dock . shoot the jig under the dock. let it fall to the bottom (counting it down 1 thousand 1, 1 thousand 2 , 1 thousand 3, etc. till it get tho the bottom. when it gets to the bottom start to slow real the jig in. do this for 5 casts. if that doesnt work . start over from the top. shoot the jig count to 1003 start to slow reel. do this for 5 casts. if that doesnt work go deeper. 1007 , 5 casts. , 1010, 5 casts, all the way to the bottom. do this on several docks and you will find a few some where. i hope this helps.
Thanks a bunch for those tip, I do appreciate it

The spawn is running behind this year so instead of hitting the spawning beds hit the stageing areas.
Thanks, I will try that this week.
