As of last weekend, the crappie were still doing well. A lot of big crappie have been caught in this lake in the last six weeks or so.

Is the river not in Belcoe? May have to give it a try on Sunday...not hardly any fishable water around here.

Put out right at dusk. Started catching fish immediately. Was very slow thru midnight. Came back before daylight. Sometime between midnight and 5 am, fish had bitten very well. Fished till 10 am and had to take up. Had two shiners left out of a pound. Was fishing 30 yo's by myself and caught about 50, with over 75% being between 11 and 14 & 1/2 inches. Co-worker on vacation following week got info from me and fished two nights and had simular experience. Talked to another co-worker who had spent last weekend at Belco, his brother-in-law fished yo's and did quite well.

Hah...guess this lake is on our side.:D Just so that I'm not missing anything important here, is this the lake just south of Morgan Point? And, is it a pay ramp?

Yes, Belco is south of the eastern end of Morgan Point(Bendway Lake according to AGFC) and across the levee. There are two boat ramps on the lake, both are private, although the owner of one has kept open for public use. Years ago they were both pay ramps.
