I noticed when I moved to Oklahoma that it's a WHOLE different world then what I am used to. Another thing is this...those people fishing the banks are normally there b/c they don't have a boat or they prefer bank fishing. It's not real fair to run a boat up on their 'bank spots' when you can access the whole body of water by boat....Not sure about the rest of you but I know it's happened to me several times and I just always move on without saying much unless it's provoked by careless or downright disrespectful gestures!

"EVERY PRO WAS A ROOKIE ONCE!!!"
that song some beach somewhere just about sums it up, some people were just not raised right!!!
Back in my younger days, I would fish off the bank at the dam below Penndleton. Would get up there before daylight. Would be myself and a few others at this time of day. Everyone respected each others "space". Around 7:30, people would start pouring in and next thing you know, things would get pretty crowded. No problem with this. It is public fishing area. However, when it got elbow to elbow, with people casting across your line on purpose, it was time to leave. It seems that the people that arrived early like myself would leave at the same time. I had one experience where an individual walked up behind me and started casting over my shoulder. I do not care where or how you were raised, this is extremely bad manners.
Pole they would not have liked it had the situation been reversed so they are individuals who do not practice the golden rule which applies to fishing as well as everything else in life. Glad you caught some fish, by the way where is Burnt Cabin
Forget the looks, I start my 40 up pull forward with a good surge and then repeat the
process. Most of the time these people will approach you being kind of chatty, I just
play the game. I pull the trolling motor up and play the rookie routine. Fish have slowed
up here time to move on. Rocking the boat in the process, dropping a paddle on the
bottom of the boat. If their is any fish there I attempt either to spook them off or blow
them out of the bush with the prop wash!
