Yes I saw that on TV too, don`t remember the Mills getting flooded before. They also had pics of the excess water running out of Beaver Dam. Ch24 had a clip of 2 kids in town that caught 2 catfish off the porch! I bet they waded out and noodled them out of the garage! Before this last monsoon, I was considering running upstream from Holiday Island and going after white bass and walleye. Looks like that is out of question now. The super clear water in that area and also Kings river that feeds Table Rock has been known to have super fishing if the water is slightly up and stained. Don`t know about this much water though. It`s been 26 years since I been on Leatherwood. Some guy caught a huge bass out of there, the word got out, they overfished it til nearly all the fish were gone. Have they been stocking Crappie in Leatherwood? They used to drop bales of hay for bass cover, I thought that was weird. Is there any kind of decent manmade fish cover in Leatherwood now?

There are good numbers of crappie in the lake. The main lake points seem to work best. The only cover is an old fence row, some small lay downs and a lot of hydrilla! I'm going to hit it in the morning.

Here was the Cut through area south of Horseshoe Bend Park on Beaver Lake. There were huge log jams like this all over the lake. Use extreme caution!! We did not catch a fish today either. Very tough!

Greeson is up, muddy and still rising. The boat ramp at Kirby Landing Recreation Area is under water and closed but the one at the marina is still usable. We tried to find a hungry crappie this morning but only caught two very small bass. I'm taking a crew out tomorrow that wants to go no matter how slow the fishing is so I hope we can find one or two fish that haven't drowned.

Nimrod and Blue mountain are projected to pass full capacity and start flowing over their spillways tonight. On Nimrod it takes 31' of water above low pool to spill over.

I was wondering about the overflows. I took a scenic route to go some of my stores and the county didn't even bother with posting the road closed around washburn and yes I had to turn around and was wondering if it was or has run around the dam. Nimrod how often do you fish? and how good are the crappie down there?

I fish Nimrod several days a week when it's good. But with over 30' of flood water it's gonna be slow. A few nice Crappie and Catfish are being caught on yoyos baited with minnows.
