CEB.... I love to fish those oxbows that feed off the Mississippi. I also spend some time up on Greers Ferry. Man talk about a big change in water types.

KRAPPIE KG.... Yes, we'll have to get together and fish sometime.
I have done alot of crappie fishin around here but I find better fishin down south. That cat in my picture weighed 40. I didn't have a crappie picture to put up.

arkie55.... I fish Black river for cats too. It's close to home but tough fishin compared to the Missippy. Do you catch any good sized cats on the Black?

Yes Brad I do. My largest from Black is 62.5lbs. Several between 30 and 50, and a larger number between 20 and 30. Just stay with it and you'll find the larger ones.

I may have to come up there and fish beside ya sometime. I just can't seem to catch any gooduns in Black. 23lb Flathead is the biggest and 15lb on a blue cat.

Welcome to the site from Jonesboro. We fish a lot at Horseshoe in Hughes. I have tried the big river at osceola with no luck on the big cats. Maybe you can share some of your secrets with us.
