    Default Lake DeGray

The bite is improving on Lake DeGray. We only kept 14 Crappie this morning but we had some nice ones and I really enjoyed fishing with my three generation crew:

Rosey Red minnows fished from 7 to 14-feet deep was the ticket but we caught a couple on jigs tipped with minnows.

They are supposed to stop dropping Greeson so I'm expecting the crappie bite to get better there soon. We're still doing well on spotted bass using live crawfish there. This was our trip from yesterday:

Catfish have taken a liking to our Rosey Reds and Crawfish too!

I sure hope you have plenty of crawfish during crappie camp..

    Hey Allen:

We're having trouble getting crawfish but we know where you can turn over some rocks and get some. I think the crappie are going to turn on and we'll forget all about those green carp!

Those are some nice looking crappie from Degray. Did these come off some condos you have out.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

    Hey Jerry:

Some came off some old brushpiles we found in the mouth of Cox Creek, some came off an old snaggy tree up in the river and some came off our bamboo condos by the big island out from Shouse Ford.

I see you're starting to get some nice ones out of Cane Creek.
