    Default Beaver Lake Tourney 9/29/07

Minnow Man and I fished the tournement yesterday in my Alumaweld Express. We killed em in the morning off the bluff, had a slow afternoon and then turned them on again about 1300 of a dock in 40 feet of water fishing 10-20 feet deep. We tied for first place with 6.2 pounds. I do have a couple of pictures of the fish, we kept 27 all tolled, but only weighed the biggest 7. They were mostly blacks with a few whites thrown in. The boat took its measure on my back and I can hardly move today. I think I'll spend the day just resting. But, MM, I'll be in fine fiddle for the next tourney. Looking forward to it. I wish there had been more than 6 boats, it would be a better competition if there were 20 or more teams.

Hey you guys, thanks for all your help and knowledge, I have learned so much on this forum and everyone has been just great. I am slowly putting faces to names. It was nice to meet Stinky's Daddy and see him pull out a couple of nice crappie, and that lone channel cat.

I think MM has some pictures he is going to post and when I get his email address, I send him mine and he can post them too. Tight lines.

Awesome Dave.. I just think back not even a year ago when you sat in my boat during a nightstalk and was just learning about crappie fishing. Talk about teaching an old dog new tricks! Good work man

Way to go Flyflinger. I know what you mean about the back. It gets rough sitting in a boat all day.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Thanks for doing all that typing for me Flyflinger...maybe next time we won't be so busy catching fish and I can get that flyfishing lesson :D Great times, and so glad I could navigate you on Beaver Lake for the first time, it was a pleasure! Especially winning! ([email protected])

Just so you all know, Minnow Man had the spots and the game plan. All I did was fish and supply the boat. But we did have a great time. I am going to email him the pictures I took so he can post them here. Thanks Allen for the complement. Tight lines.
