Good to hear he's doing okay. I figured he was working hard. I just didn't want him to think we all had forgotten about him.

Yep, I've been pretty busy the past few months with "work", although it's really not too horrible. Best part is...I'm workin' on a collection of good stories for the campfire...:D

Since I'm down in El Dorado for the month, I brought the boat down here to leave at the in-laws in good ol' Star City. I've actually put in a couple of short trips to CC the past two weekends. Not much going yet in the way of crappie. The grass is still pretty thick, but hopefully it will start dying off some with the cooler nights. I did get to do a little scouting and found a couple of good lookin' holes headed back towards the dam. I actually saw ol' Lucky out there a couple of weekends ago. He's not tearing 'em up yet. I'll give y'all a good report as soon as they "turn on".

I appreciate all the concerns about my well-being... I know that I haven't posted much lately, but I've still been keeping up with y'all. Hope I can make it to the fall crappie camp, but either way, I'm gonna have to get down to Greeson and find that guy they call "walkin' small"...

good to hear from you, Chris. I have a bank of those stories also that I'll tell from time to time. It's amazing the thinking that some people have, especially as it pertains to their health. It's a wonder that we've survived with some of the stupidity that I've witnessed. Definately keep us posted on Cane Creek. I'm circling some time for around Nov. 1 to go down there & fight the masses finding the hiding places for the slabs.

Hey Chris, I knew you were busy, from our last conversation at CC. I'm ready for some cool weather so they will get started at CC. Kathy and I will be camping and fishing there Sept. 27-30, hope you can make it out there that weekend. I went to M. Point this past Sunday, I caught 1 good crappie and 2 dinks and 1 gar. The water temp was 74 when I put in and 77 when I left. Another 10 degree drop should get them feeding good. Good luck in school, hope to see you on the water soon.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

    Jerry
