I went out this morning, w/ out all of the boat traffic Nimrod's complaining about. found a few, but mostly dinks & the best pattern was on the shady side of docks, here at the house. wound up w/ 7, (6 paperlips & 1 green carp). They took lockjaw around 11am, & the bite shut off. I wound up knocking off around 1pm. Here is the pattern that I used. Most of the fish came on the chartreuse dyno shad (crappie pro) & I wound up w/ a couple of fish on these little minnow imitators.

We did the tightlined jig method in 3-4 ft of water, w/ the jig around 2 1/2 ft. The fish were holding sort of tight to the cover, & I had to get the jig under the docks to get the bigger ones. Here they are.

I all but thought it would be tough crappie fishing after the water heated up here at home in our skinny lake, but I was able to find a few like these on the deeper structure. I haven't been able to find any in our deepest water, (which is about 6' right now) but we'll keep trying. I am gonna try some new territory real soon, too.
