I fish without floats. I usually fish with 8 rods. 4 on each side of the boat. I use 2-5 foot rods and 2-9 foot rods on each side. Staggered long short long short helps with tangles. this allow me to fish in the light and in the dark on both sides of the boat. I usually fish by myself. I fish Greers Ferry so I know about the water lice even at night. Keep trying, you may have to find a little deeper water when it really heats up. I have never been on Greeson but if you can find a ledge in about 25 foot of water that is where I would try.

Hey creekslick thanks for all your help i am gone to try a nite stalk to night in some deeper water around 20 foot deep it drops form 10 to 28 feet deep in just around 40 yard it is right on the side on the maine lake chanel right be side a big rock bank.Dose that sound like the right kind of place to find fish and how do you set up your rods when not fishing with floats. :D Hey if you ever get down this way i would be more than happy to go out on a nite stalk and see how it is done the right way i know lake greeson vear good i have lived 1/2 mile from the lake for 30 years.
