Default Slo-o-o-ow today at M. Point

Very slow day for my brother and myself at M. Point. We threw roadrunners, jigged in the shallow around trees, and even trolled tightline with multijig rigs. We caught a few small crappie and had 2 keepers at 2:30 pm, was just getting ready to go and caught a good one, 1lb. 15oz. We fished about 30 more minutes, with no luck so we release the 3 we had and left. Will try again tomorrow, with my grandson. Hope the bite is better tomorrow. May have to try some minnows and crickets to get him on some action.

    The only good one.

Hope everyone had a better day on the water.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

    Jerry,
I found Morgan point on the google map. It looks like there is a ramp on the north end. I also found that ramp on my arkansas outdoor map. Is the ramp called buzzard beach ramp? It looks like there is a ramp on the south end of the lake also. I am definately going to have to try it down there. I'll let you know when I'm coming.

Yeah Randy the ramp on the north end at buzzard beach is where you put in. The other ramp is now private. I hope the fish are more cooperative today, since I'm taking my grandson.

Hope you have a good day on the water. Looks like it's going to be a real pretty day. Hit that lake last fall, has some good fish in it.

Hey L.A. .....The fishing was off yesterday for me too....I caught a bunch of small ones but only managed 5 good keepers.....4 of the bigger ones came on roadrunners. Couldn't get a bite in the shallows...all fish caught were in 25' of water 8'-12' deep around brush piles but not right over them.

It's still slow at Nimrod for good fish. The small ones are stacked up on the banks.

I just thought yesterday was slow. Didn't even catch a keeper today. Even tried bream with crickets and only caught a few and they weren't keepers. Really wanted to get my grandson into some good fishing, will have to try later when they get back to feeding. Going to Chicot tomorrow with a friend from work. Hopefully it'll be better there.
