Tough fishin', but at least y'all got some good 'uns. I can't wait till these crappie get into a good post-spawn pattern...

We've been having some real tough days here lately on Greeson. It's up just over full pool and still rising a little bit. The crappie are still very scattered and some are still trying to spawn in 8 to 10-feet of water.

Surface temp was over 70 this morning so unless we get a good cool-down they'll give up on spawning and start trying to thicken back up pretty soon.

For the first time this spring I saw schools of small shad on the surface early this morning when it was still real calm so the white bass and stripers should start schooling and surface feeding early mornings and late evenings. That will give us something to do while the crappie aint cooperating. We usually pick up a few walleye wherever the whites are breaking too.

TJ that's a better looking stringer than I had sat. evening and Sunday afternoon. Ol buddy talked me out of my after church nap and I only caught two at Jack Nolen. I sure did miss that nap.
