Can you get into Mellwood anymore? I heard that there is no public ramp
Man, it was a beautiful day today, but we had a tough time finding/catching the fish on Ouachita. Managed to get my first sunburn in a while. I heard that the crappie were biting on Nimrod and Dardanelle, tho.
I think I got one...
I fished Millwood last night and this morning, without much success. Took two of my kids on a night stalk to Dierks tonight and we caught 12, mostly small. We had a blast though.

There is a pay ramp on Mellwood. Also, trailer spaces for rent and cabins for rent. Mississippi is into the lake bigtime right now, so fishing isin't good.Originally Posted by Roll
Caught nine sat. evening. Went back this afternoon and caught 26 (29 total) off new dual condo I put out wed. in creek channel. One 15 incher and rest were smaller. I caught these in a water user lake east Sebastian co. Green chart. jigs.
Thanks to a new straw hat I'm not breaking out the aloe vera tonight. Deep thoughts and I nightstalked Ouachita with limited success Saturday night then fished most of the day today. As usuall I got to serve as net man for the few big fish we did land. Had 2 right at 15 iches. Wish I would have taken my camera cause those Ouachita crappie sure are pretty.
We had the most activity from 7 to 10 feet. Never could really get the feel what they wanted. Sometimes roseys and sometimes jigs (no I wasnt using a jig Dafishkiller)Originally Posted by Woohdog

I hope so. I'm taking my dad Friday, but I'm afraid the weather may mess with us. Of course, it could work in our favor, too, if the timing's right.Originally Posted by winghunting
