Sounds like a good time. It was cold on the water here in SW Arkansas at daylight, but it warmed up nicely. I'm ready to see some of those pics...

Maybe we can start this thread for all the pics (hopefully) and reports for the get-together...
I got down to the boat ramp at 11am and started gettin' things set-up. The crappie.com folks started filtering into the launch area and all pitched in to help get things going. We ended up having a very good turnout. As soon as the smell of fried crappie caught the wind, I could hear folks stomachs start to talk. Considering that he left the recipe at home, I was a little worried about Goocher's hushpuppies at first. But, they turned out great. I sure hope everyone got plenty..
After we got our bellies filled, I headed out on the water with Gooch and a few others. We sank some prime-time future boo habitat and everyone got to fishin'. I couldn't stay to fish (dam exams), but last I heard, a few were being caught out there. I hope everyone slays the crappie and has a good time on such a beautiful afternoon. I look forward to seeing the results...
These are get-togethers are turning out to be great events. It's always nice to put a face to the screen-name. Over the past few events, I've met several new faces. You never know, you might find a new fishin' buddy! I hope everyone that reads these posts decides to come on out to the next event. Lots of good folks and even more good food. I'm already looking forward to the next get-together.
Sorry, I left my camera at home this morning. I got a few pictures with Gooch's camera, but hopefully everyone will get plenty of pics to throw up here.

Dad and I only caught two crappies apiece but they were big ones. Along with some redears dad caught yesterday we're going to be full on fish again here in a few minutes. The picnic was delicious thanks to everybody and big thank you to Grubby and Jason for fixing dad's boat, he would have been in a bad mood all week if we hadn't been able to fish.
I, personally had a great time. Tried to talk Gooch off those minnows all afternnon.:D :D
First step to recovery is to admit you have a problem Gooch!!!!:D :D
Caught 11 fish, 4 were 1.5 pounds, 2 were over 2 pounds. Hope to get pics on here soon. Biggest was a fat female right at 16.75 inches long!![]()
Purple and white jig, ambassador head fished about 24-28 inches deep right in front of River Valley marina. I think Gooch has pics of some but not of the biggest one!!
I am looking forward to the next meeting!

Since Gooch has an extremely large learning curve with posting pics, I am going to repost them here.
