I like to think I am like a bear and I will loose my winter fat this summer. But really...my health has been in decline ever since I quit smoking about 10 years ago. I put on 30 lbs in about 6 months and my breath got short. To top it off, I quit snuff last spring and put on another 15 lbs. I sure hope I did the right thing. They say that you add years to your life by quitting all of that. I don't know if the weight is any healthier. It messes up the fishing too when you don't have a good dip.
I have seen women lie on their backs to get their pants buttoned. That don't work for me, I have to look in the mirror.

Helms...it looks like y'all had an awesome day on the water. Even if you didn't land a fish, that's some quality time spent in the outdoors. I'm not surprised that the crappie bite suffered with this front...but I was surprised to see that big ol' crappie that your wife landed. That was a nice fish. And those lil' stripers must have been tearing it up...congrats on the double.

And DP, I'm sorry that we knocked you off course with you're new diet. I know that's like sitting a T-Bone in front of a hostage...:D

I fish upriver from the River Valley Bait and have had great luck up until today. Only got 3. Ask the guy, C.J., at River Valley bait how to get up to the railroad bridge. That is where they are going to spawn at this time. The entire area is at 4ft of water and there are about 1,000,000 trees to fish. If you can't find that, just start in front of the bait shop and fish the bank opposite of the boat docks. Fish at about 2 ft. and work your way down to the boat ramp under I-430.
