    Default Bait Question?

What color jigs are working the best? I am just getting back into this and need some help. I will also take minnow's as well but just can't remember what jigs are the best. Any help would be much appreciated.

I usually use Char. and red, orange and black and char., blue and white or pink and white. I also like to add a crappie nibble or two.

For the stained waters that I usually fish, black/chart skirt on a pink leadhead is my "go to" bait. I also like purple/sparkle, red/chart, and really anything else with chart in it...

    I like Black/char, red/char and black/pink.
Does anyone know of a pink body char tail curl tail grub?
I think that would kill them on Beaver!

Great question because it will save you alot of time. There are so many colors and color combinations. I started out using tube jigs but now almost exclusively use hair jigs. I also used to have every color in the world and now I only use 3 or 4 different ones. The color choices are based on light and water conditions. (1) a white head, red neck or body with char tail for bright days and clear water. (2) a gray/silver/gray or a red thread neck gray for gray days and maybe a little stain to the water. (3) an orange head, black body with char tail (strong contrasting colors) for any light condition and muddy water.

Hey Darryl, Last time I went fishing with you and Gooch at nite on Ouchita, I thought you were telling us that your favorite was a Red-head???

any colors work good as long as they are red/white or black/chartreuse. (With an occasional pink/ white or red/ chartreuse thrown in) White crappie nibble don't hurt either.
