paradise is a very funny place. i have seen it before where guys in one boat with chartreuse jigs could hardly get a bite and the next boat with blue and white jigs caught limits. i have also seen it where you could fish all morning and catch very few and all of a sudden they just turn on and you can catch a limit.
i actually like to go when the ms river at ark city hits about 18. at 21, the water is still out in the woods and it is hard to fish. when it gets down to around 12 or so you cannot even get in the chute. they really turned on for us last year for about a week and we got a cooler full. we just hit it at the right time.
lake lee is usually good when the ms river is at these levels also. it is much easier to get to and easier to fish. we took our waders to paradise last year and got behind the buck brush.
remember the limit on crappie inside the ms river levee is 50.

    Hawgpharm,
Thanks for the info. we always go to chicot in may, & will be there again this year. I like it down there, 'cause there are so many places to fish. I'll be watching the river level, to plan my trip. thanks again.

it looks like the river is going to bottom out at 19 and then start rising again.
