    Default Greeson

Had to fight the wind all morning but we ended up with a pretty good mess. We found a few in the shallows early but had to move out to the main channel drops, fish real tight to the cover and put it right in their face to get them to bite, which isn't easy to do in 15-20 mph winds.

The COE is holding the lake level steady so all we need is some stable weather and we'll be loading the boat!

    Hey Jason:

Haven't had a chance to try Hamilton in a while and haven't heard any good reports. Until something messes them up on Greeson I'll be fishing there. Starting next week - the 7th I think - they will raise Hamilton 3 feet in four days so it will be full of floating debris for a while. Hopefully it won't be as bad only coming back up 3-feet. When they drew it down 9-feet it was really bad for a while after it came back up. Had to dodge everything from railroad ties (they don't show much) to pieces of docks and dimensional lumber for about 3-weeks.

Thanks for the heads up on Hammilton. Nothing like rolling down the lake on plane, enjoying a beautiful morning with the sun and wind in your face........... then you slam a railroad tie right under the surface.

    Kinda kills the moment.

Yea, they don't have much "give". Been lucky so far - knock on wood.
