We fish the drain pipes the year around.Usually better after a little rain!!We like 1/16-1/4 oz roadrunners,Black/chart,white chart./2 -2 1/2 in crappie tubes in 1/16-1/4 oz inside tube jigheads.2-4 lb test line med-lite to med 7-9 ft rod's. One of these will work.We find the crappie in what we call a little "eddy water"where they fish can get out of the current around these pipes or drainage ditches.Anything that deflects current log,rock ect will hold fish "crappie"Some times the crappie are their and some times their "crappie are not!Just a trial and error deal.Keep searching until you find one that has fish.Fish drain pipes/culverts is like a box of chocolates never know what you will ketch!!Wear your life jacket be safe and good fishing!
