It's just hard to explain......
About 4 weeks ago, my wife, who never likes to go fishing anywhere, said, "Hey what are your plans for next Monday?" I said, "Nothing, what's up?" How bout we take the boat to the lake and see if anything is biting. (Holy Moly..something is up here..not good) Well, needless to say.....You dont have to ask me twice. So.....sure.
Monday comes. Pull out the boat, disconnect the chargers, and hook up. Yes, yes, yes...I just love this stuff. About 10 minutes from the lake my wife looks over at me and says, " Man, you look like a kid who just got a new toy truck." I said, "What?" She replied, "You're figgity". "Well" I said, "I just can't explain it....it's just hard for anyone to understand...but...I just get so damn excited when I go fishing...I just love it. It's like I can't get my boat in the water fast enough and when I do I don't ever want to leave." She just laughed and said, "That's obvisous". We had a great time, frooze our butts off, and caught a few.
I can tell by this forum already that most of you get what I mean.
Man, I just love it. I am stoked for another round of "Crappie Slaying"

Yep, you're ruint and you've got the fever. It's really great to hear that your wife did that for you, or should we say did it to you, lol. She sounds like a keeper.

Well spoken ...it is hard to explain to someone unless they get it too. I always get excited before I go and can hardly get fishing fast enough and stay too long. Same thing hits me just before the opening of duck season(I hunted 57 days out of a 60 day season this year). I'm lucky to have a very understanding wife. She gets a kick out of watching me getting all wound up. Say's the same thing as yours about acting like a kid. I hope those feelings always stay with me. Your right....one of the really good things about crappie.com is all the people that do "get it".
