I'm looking at jumping into spider rigging. Been researching the rods, holders, etc. But before I present the bill to my better half, I'd like to go out with someone to experience it firsthand and ask questions. Would anyone be open to going out for a while? I'd be more than willing to chip in for gas, minnows, etc.
Thanks

Advice for "the bill". Forgiveness is easier than permission. Caution!!! Spider rigging leads to long lining. Which leads to dragging crank baits. Which leads to hundreds if not thousands of $$$$$$. I think it makes you slick headed too and fish Greer's Ferry all of the time. DP

Like he said. Once the spider bites- It's Over! Good luck!

I have wanted to venture out into the spider world, I have been buying a piece at time. Made me a rod holder out of a five gallon bucket them fancy ones are expensive.
I made one before from some spare lumber a few years back.. Let's just say it went south quick after finding an unmarked trotline. Put the idea down quick til I saved up my pennies to afford the right equipment and now have a great boat just perfect for this rabbit hole endeavor!
Just know I learn better and understand it more when I can "do it and ask questions".

I wasted enough money trying to poor boy my gear to have bought 2 good set ups. Don't waste your time or money . Buy quality gear. If you don't like it you can sell it. JMO.
