Gar hole report*

Went out this morning and ran by this run off in a bay on the AR river and ended up catching about 75 white bass off it.

After getting tired of catching white bass I laid out the spider rig and before I got all the rods out I had a hit. Went to set the hook and felt the tug then nothing. This went on for about an hour and after about 10 misses I figured I would just let them swallow it. Well I did and it ended up being gar! I ended up catching about 3 of them. Anyone else had gar do this? I did end up getting in a brush pile in about 15 ft of water and caught 15 decent black crappie out of it.

Yes sir! Thats exacly how gar bite and ya keep missing them because of their bony mouth and soft gentle tug. Where you from??? That place sure does look familiar!
