Thread: Whitehall...Old River

I went there today because I knew I could get out of the wind. It was 15 to 30 today. I was shielded from the wind by the levee and tree line on the bank. The Mississippi appeared to be in there about 6 to 8 feet. I knew it would be tough fishing with the river up ,but it is on a slow drop, and i had my fingers crossed. No luck there, i caught three huge gar...

Chris, I drove the levee down to Midway and it looks great. It was white capping there. I think I will try it there next weekend if the wind cooperates. I don't know why that lake holds big crappie, but it does.
