February Nightstalk

I would like to have folks show up about an hour and a half before sunset. This will give us plenty of time to get unloaded, eat and go to our spots and get setup. I am going to get there a few hours early so CEB and I can go mark some of our condos with bouys so everyone will have a proven location to fish. I would expect depending on the bite that we will call it a night between 10:00 and 12:00. I will stay as long as anyone wants to. I sure wont leave anyone who is not familiar with the water on the Little Maumelle.

Also a note to anyone who might be concerned with fishing on the river at night let me assure you that at no time will we be close to the flow of the Arkansas River so it is a very safe place to fish. If the weather cooperates and the wind or rain is in check we should have a good night. We will have a new moon so the lights should really be effective.

Hey Gooch, How many people do you think are planning on making it? I am thinking that I might could swing it on that date as I am having company the next weekend. I definately need some night fishing tips,( only done it twice).
I would probably just drive my little Honda up and visit and hopefully fish with someone. Still doing a little work on my boat and truck.
I could bring some rods and tackle.

Slab I would guess that the turn out will be kinda like the state fair. If the weather is nice that Saturday I bet we will have a nice crew, if its not I don't expect a big showing. I would love to have you fish with CEB and myself though I am kinda scared you might bring that bad luck you had from your last nightstalk (car crash). At least when we have a bad night the EMT is not called. Bottom line is bring a few poles and something warm and join us we will deffinately have room. CEB and I may both bring our boats and I know slipcork is bringing his beast that a football team could fish from. With those 3 boats alone we would have room for 12 folks.

This is just something that CEB and I thought up that will help us all meet and greet a few of our posters and also let us kick some ideas arround about starting a crappie club, sinking condos ect. Like I said in a previous post if we can get just 5 boats on board for a condo sinking at a later date that would be 20 condos we all would know the location of. We could even do something like this at Nimrod. I have never fished the lake but might consider it sometime if I knew were 30 or so condos were that some of us crappie.com guys had sunk on one of our gatherings.

Anyone is welcome in my boat, so long as you don't complain about sittin' on a 5 gallon bucket...:D

Looks like I am in. (For now anyway). My wife will be out of town first part of the week, so maybe I will have some brownie points made up by the time she gets back! If somebody has some room in their boat, I would like to come aboard. If not, I can bring my own if needed.

I'll do my best to be there the 17th...I'll keep you updated.

Good of you (Gooch) and CEB to take the lead on this. If nothing else I would like to come, bring some food, eat and meet some of the folks.

I would love to hook up with you guys on the stalk as this would be my first. One problem I moved recently and left all my fishing gear at my mothers for storage since I dont have room where I am and did not think I would be fishing till spring. My job keeps me really busy..being the coroner..people just keep dying to see me..lol..Anyways I can usually go whenever I want as long as I know a couple weeks in advance...What are the basic Items I need to bring? Is there someone that I could tag along with? Will pay for half or all of what we need..not a problem there...just let me know when, where and what I need and you will see my Chevy in the the sunset/./

I plan to be there. met Ceb briedly yesterday out there was very cold, and NOTHING was biteing, but it was still good to get out for the day. hope to meet lots of you there.

Hey Troy, I don't see why it would be a problem for you to join us. I don't really know of anything that you need to bring, except yourself and the drink of your choice. We'll have plenty of minnows, jigs, and poles. I hope to see you then.
