    Default New garage rod rack.

Today's project. Now just waiting for my 14'ers from SCR to get here. If anyone is looking, this is a $30 fix at home depot.

    Default Another garage rod rack

Here is another inexpensive way to store long rods and easy to access when door is down or up.
Just U-bolts and J-bolts. I dipped the J-bolts in the liquid plastic like you use to insulate pliers' handles but may be unnecessary.

    Default New garage rod rack.

I think the plastic dip on the J hooks will help from fraying the line opposed to the raw metal.

I have an overhead rack, but I like the door rack. It looks easier to get the rods in and out of compared to my overhead model, and it separates the rods better.

I was concerned about rubbing the rod itself in the same spot over and over. The door gets opened and closed several times every day.
