Everything I've read recommends circle hooks, so I got them. My concern is that the initial opening is too small. Not crazy about how the barb is bent back either. Went ahead and got the only other hooks they had too... Super J's. I've attached a pic. What are y'all's
Remember to use heavy braid if you have it because a heavy hook is useless with light line. I use stainless because they are tough , stay sharp and don't rust. I never use hooks that big but bigger baits require bigger hooks to ensure better hook ups. Since I lfish in current I also use heavy duty swivels on my limblines.
