I was tellin the truth.....almost

A fellow crappie fisherman motored up to me at 10:00 Friday morning while I was just a fishing away. Don't know who he was, "Catchin any?" he says. "Well I have caught a few here." I said. (Talking about the patch of Cypress I was in.) He said he hadn't' done any good that morn. We talked a little more as he fished 10 feet from me for about 10 minutes and wished each other good luck and he moved on. Well.......What I failed to tell him was I had already put 26 of the prettiest slab crappie in the ice chest. I wasn't lying. Anyway I have fished 6 of the last 10 days at Lake Erling and limited out every time, with 14" to 16" slab crappie. The one pic with what appears to be a minnow was caught on my jig. These were also found in the crappies stomachs. I guess that is why they are liking my chartreuse-glitter/chartreuse MidSouth tube jig. They resemble quite a bit. Going back soon!!!
