So who all is seeing the spawn going on in their area and are catching them up in the shallows? This is my first year to really fish for crappie and seem to hit a wall the past week or so in my area of the state(Ft. Smith area). I was on em' pretty good right after duck season and through out march but its been tough lately.

Fished the river in your area last weekend and really struggled. Caught two giants and another keeper, but that was it for crappie in a 5 hour day. Water was awfully muddy and never got above 61.

Had a tough day on greersfeery Saturday but did catch a few small fish in 15 fow on a jig,if the temp would stable out thinking the bite will pick up.Will try to update later in the week.

Finally found some fish up shallow on a local water supply lake, ended up keeping 17 gooduns. Anyone else catching them shallow?

They danged sure were not at the Ark River yesterday.........at least not where I was. Too windy to go too far upriver, though, so they might have been somewhere other than where we were.......
