We spent all this past Easter weekend fishing Old Town Lake and we caught five fish. Four bream and one crappie. They were all nice fish but the fishing was slow for myself and everyone else. I talked to several crappie fisherman and no one caught more than three all day Saturday. They said the crappie were biting strong all week. I grew up fishing the lake and I usually have good success. I really do not know why they shut down. I am guessing the cool front threw them for a loop. Hopefully, the fish will pick up where they left off when it warms back up.

My guess is barometric pressure. It was 30.45 Saturday. Just my opinion
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work..

Its been slow at Old Town what I keep hearing. Supposed to be there next week, but after watching the weather, I may have to put it off a while.
