Okay,,,, let's get back to bacon,,,, what's with fish eatin bacon anyway? I used it as a kid and had tremendous success in largemouth, stripers, pickerel, and even a few brim....Next time I head out crappie fishin,,, I'm bringing a few slabs of bacon to rub on them jigs,,,, More news to follow folks,,,,lol ,,, Oh,,, BTW,,, is there any other bacon other then Wrights?
Bought 20, 5 gallon buckets that came from one of the food processing plants up here. Guy said he hadn't washed them out and that they had contained garlic. I never washed them either, but every time I caught a fish for 6 months after that, I would smell it's breath to see if it had been holding on one of my garlic bucket condos.
Been using WD4O FOR 30 YRS. WORKS AS GOOD AS ANY THING OUT THERE !!!
WD40 does work great. Been using it a long time myself. Has quietened many a hinge and freed up many a pair of pliers. Tried it on a jig once, but it just kept sliding out of the fishes mouth. Of the 6 months I smelled the fishes breath, none had bit wd40 or I woulda smelt it.
Years ago we used pork trailers on jigs and spinners for Bass. The stuff was Uncle Josh salted in jars. Heard about old timers using bacon for crawfish . If I was a fish , I'd be caught on Petit Jean Bacon . :Rofl Seems like everything on the low scale of platablitiy such as Duck most recipies call for wrapping in Bacon.:twocents
I get a Petit Jean assortment pack from Xpress at CHRISTmas. It's alright, but I favor the Wrights better. JMO
