You got that right! iPhone has a compass and I also have the Navionics app on it, and also a Navionics chip in the 998. Hopefully, I can find my way back. Left Sandy Beach one night headed to Sugar Loaf and got lost in Higden Bay. Not a good feeling. Fished all night another time and fog rolled in and I really wasn't sure I'd make it back to the dock! Spooky feeling!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Left sugar loaf marina headed west in fog. Kept south bank on the right place to get to pt.14. Couldn't see shore but knew where it was. Back in the day same scenario ran up on the shallow side of the island off west of Fairfield bay.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
