My concern is if I only use two batteries or both TM and cranking. I will get interference in electronics. Tight for space.

Default changing from 12volt to 24 volt

Radio Shack has some clip on chokes that you can put on the hot wire to help eliminate interference. No guaranties, but worth a try. They are Cheap!!! 2-3 bux each.

No way of knowing your answer jig, but in my experience yes you will get the interference that's why it's recommended no to out on tm batteries with the hd units. Like Brm said you can try to choke it but that never helped with mine when I had issues but it's a cheap fix if it works.

I run everything off cranking battery. My two (12 volt) batteries for 24 volt trolling motor in front box to hold front down.

Though I don't have a 24 volt setup I do have a 12 volt setup. My trolling motor is ran off it's own deep cycle battery and a manual reset fuse breaker. Everything else is ran off my cranking battery which is all ran to a 6 circuit fuse block.

I had a boat one time that without some serious creative thinking would only accommodate 2 batteries. I wanted a 24 V TM. So, I got it. Connected it to both new group 27 batteries. One of the batteries was used for cranking, the other I connected the electronics. I did this twice in my life, the first and the last.
About lunch time the batteries were starting to get a little weak, and that's when the delima started. Every time I would hit the TM it would draw enough amps to cause the electronics to shut off. Then the next thing, the big motor wouldn't start.
At this point, u need a cell phone and a good friend. Maybe a booster too.

If you don't have a continuously variable speed trolling motor such as a Terrova or Power drive, etc, you are less likely to get interference. These trolling motors use pulse width modulation and this results in a greater chance of it interfering with the depth finder. Give it a try with 2 batteries and see how it goes. I ran a 12v pwm motor and a df off of 1 battery at the same time with no ill effects.
