    Better than no fish at all. Those drum and other trash fish make for good practice at getting them away from the rig.

    Oh yeah! They can really fulfill your thump jones in the Pool too when the Crappie "ain't biting." Gives you something to do while you watch CP catch the big ole slabs like nobody's business!!

    Hey l_t, we had the same experience yesterday too at the Big D. We changed strategies a little and finally wound up with a total of 5 keepers. But could have won a bass tournament or stocked a catfish restaurant with those what we caught of them. Only had 1 big gar hit us but caused the usual mess with our lines, cut them loose and tie on new ones. Stuck with it till about 2:30. Better luck next time I hope.

    Good job Guys....Yes Chris we love the pool but it's like shooting fish in a barrel. I love this time of year matching wits with them in that big main lake in the summer. It's a welcome change I know you love it to.
