    Default Christmas in May

No comparison to the birds. Hands down better. Had the birds and won't go back. Had mine for a few years now and love them. Just my humble opinion though. Just ask BRM, after a bunch of "you can't see fish on them units", I even got Him seeing fish on his units now with a little help lol.

I have no prob finding fish on the bird! It's all about if u know how to set one up. Don't think there is much diff in them just personal preference

X2. I have a small 798 and have no problem seeing fish. I will say that the di on Lowrance is a lot more clear though.

Where does the line form to go fishing with you, once you get those puppies installed? Seriously, I would like to see them work on the water, once you've got'em on and tuned like you want 'em. I'm a Humminbird man myself, but I could be persuaded to change if Lowrance units are better, or easier to find stuff and fish! Congrats, dude, on your new units.

Got to see the 9 touch in action on Dennis' boat and it is a fine rig. Lowrance make some awesome units with awesome graphics. I wouldn't hesitate to hang some on my boat. That being said, if anyone has any of those ole junkie humminbirds, 998 hd or larger, they are discarding, just give me a pm. I'll be glad to dispose of them humanely.

Personally I think you should box them back up and send them to me for that difficult break in period. No sense in hurting yourself.

Nice units. What are you replacing?
