Check out the table on this thread. Looks like it was sampled in 1990 and 1991. This lake is not in my district.

Better watch those redear. They are likely to wrap you up in the nets and steal your boat to boot. Those are some feisty fish!

Give me a shout if you net or shock Greers.

We can't trap net Greers efficently due to the bathtmetry of the lake. I would like to get a good look at the crappie population but unfortunately there is not a good method on these types of lakes (very large corps reserviors). We do not plan on electrofishing Greers this year. But I do have a good idea of how you could help us collect some crappie data. I will give you a holler and see what you think Wayne. Thanks.

Swamp Rat- we have had several other reports similar to your. The other Matt (Matt Horton) saw one of these fish. It was a striper. They probably ran up Palarm Creek from the AR River, when the creek was up and we had he gates open They hen ran into the lake. If the hot water temperaturs don't kill them this summer (probably will) we may see some big stripers in Conway in a few years.

Matt I do some snagging at the dam this time of year and have hit stripers before so I'd say this theory is spot on

To tell the difference between a striper and a white bass, you look at the tooth patch on the back of the tongue. A striper has two patches (side by side) and a white bass has one patch. You can see and feel them.
