I'm glad Buckrub had a good experience with the non-ethanol premium. However, I feel I should caution you on that due to my 2 experiences. I don't want ethanol in my boat anymore than anyone else, we all know it's a problem. But twice I've bought non-ethanol premium from two different stations in two different towns and both times I got bad gas. And it took forever to clear it up. My theory is that gasoline is expensive period, premium even more so, if it's non-ethanol it maybe a few cents higher once again. I think so few people by premium, because it's so much more expensive, that it sometimes sets in the stations tank to long and starts to go bad. It just takes about 30 days for it to start degrading. Just be cautious.

Actually bad gas could cause some of the symptoms you're having. Just not enough energy left in the gas for it to have the power to plane out. Just a thought.
After reading some of your comments I got to thinking when I top the tank off it didn't do it for a couple times out then started again. Could this the problem. Thanks everybody for the help!!!
fosh
I am a strong believer in Sea-Foam and non ethanol gas. Some say you need to put Sta-Bil in also. I no longer use marine Sta-Bil but I'm sold on the Sea-Foam. If my boat is going to sit for 3 weeks or more I disconect the fuel line and run the fuel out my motor. Mine sits for about 3 months in the summer and about 21/2 months in the winter. First trip behind these shutdowns, it seldom turns over twice before it starts. I think Cat is on target for your electrical problem.
just a thought some engines with oil inj or vro have sensors that wont let engine rev if a problem is detected. also works the same on temperature
