    It was 8lb nimrod, bought it last year when we fishing deep water at Dardnelle . Took braid off for conway because of all the pressure the fish were under in cove. Trying to get an edge on fish

    Not say'n it is why but have seen others keep line in hot sun which weakens line. I change mine several times a year.

    I use braid with a flourocarbon leader. No problems yet.

    I change my line often on single poles or spinning reels. Braid for me otherwise. Nimble sure can catch and land them other type of feesh on his line for sure. Video tape several in past of him in battle lol.

    I'm convinced, them toothy critters are hard enough to land with heavy braid. Makes me feel good about my Ozark rods too
