Go wide. Lot more room and stable. I ran a 1452 Weldbuilt with a 40hp Yamaha and love it.
I'll keep and eye open around here.

I have a pan fisher stick steer mainly because most of my fishing is by my self. I can do it all from one seat without going back and forth. When I do it again I will probably go with the Crappie 175 with about a 60 hp on it. I bought the stick steer when I was single. Getting married a few years ago has got me to thinking I need a bigger (new) boat. The reason I would stick to Tracker is because I like the service department at Bradford in Sherwood. If I lived in Hot Springs I would give Joe Mike a chance to sell me something at Trader Bill's. He gave me a real fair price on a trailer I bought for my toon boat. I would try to make a deal with you on my stick steer. But, I have spent way over my budget already this year. I don't think I could convince my wife that she needs another boat.

I think you can only go to a 40hp with stick steering here in Arkansas. Might want to keep that in mind.

I would like to get a center steer...I dont think I'll need more than a 60 for a good boat? right?
And I want a boat that has the fishing deck all the way back to the center console

This may be more than what you are looking for but it's for sale. 2003 Herrington Bass Master (Crappie Master) with 1992 Mariner 200hp. I used it when I first started guiding and now it sits and needs to be sold, run, and loved. Lots of extras and ready for crappie fishing. Under $10,000.00 (NADA over $12,000.00), I'd have to check to see what the payoff is on it.

I edited the post with the sale price. All I want to do is sell it for the payoff. She's been such a good boat to me and I hate that she sits, unused. She just doesn't fit right for guiding with, so I bought a center-cosole. I've got one switch that has malfunctioned and I need to replace that. And, I'll detail her before letting her go. I guess that's when we'd have our last talk together, lol. She looks really wicked on the water with the black hull and the gray stripe down the sides. I remember the first time I saw her on the water with me on the bank. I didn't even recognize my own boat, but it did put a chill down my spine and all I could say is, "Wow."Originally Posted by TJ Adams
Extras are: slit livewell with aerator on timer in back (I used as a bait tank), extra large livewell in front, extra long rod box for crappie rods, 60# MinnKota TM, Garmin Fishfinder with hookups on console and front of the boat so it can be moved depending on it's use, 3 stainless steel Perotibilt rodholder sets for crappie fishing and can be removed when bass fishing, ample pedistal seat bases for varied placement and fishing up to 4 people sitting, and I sure there's more that I just can't think of right now.

I'm with slipcork, go wide! You'll like it a lot more. Tracker, Lund, Lowe, g3 all make an aluminum deep v that is wide. I bet you can find one in your range used or even new! Some start out at 10 grand new with a 70 horse. My Lowe gos 35 with a Yamaha 60.
Tight Lines!
