Went yesterday and stuck out some bamboo poles around some big cypress trees and brush were there is nothing to tie yo-yos to. While I was doing this the crappie were flipping all over. So I tried trolling for a while, had some hard bites and could get the fish to where I could see them and they would come off. Only managed to boat 1 11 incher. They came off on minnows and jigs, and yes I checked and the hooks were sharp. Man, they were hitting hard, I just couldn't catch them. Maybe tomorrow or Friday after the rain I can do better. grizzly

Gooch, Conway, lets just say unmarked jugs wasn't the only violation they caught me at, live and learn.

I'll remember that lite stick idea. I've retired my jugs in favor of pool noodles cut into 1/3's, easier to handle and less racket in the boat, IMO.

LazyJ, I'm on the bayou but about 10 miles upstream of the highway. But yes this is still a magical place too, where else could I make so many trips and not have seen another boat on the water. grizzly

I plan on bringin some of my "floatin yo-yos" with me to CC. BUT I think I have been very kuck from the sounds of things.

Gotta get my name on them!

Love to put my yo-yos out over brush piles that are in deep water with nothing to tie onto.
