I have yet to see the perfect boat, and given the resources, I dont think I could invent the perfect boat. I have only shopped for and bought two. Each time I looked at several dozen and did a lot of research.
My first was a Tracker Pro-16 and it served me well. Next was the All Fish. It was a hard choice between the Pro Crappie 175 and the All Fish. There were a couple of deciding factors that led me to the All Fish. First is the fact that I have a 10 year old that likes to utilize as much space as possible. (Except for Momma's space in the back, thats off limits!) The second is that my wife's mom has a place on Greers Ferry and the bigger boat makes us feel a lot safer. We don't do much fishing there, but a lot of riding.
It is a modified-V and talk about a smooth ride! It takes a little longer to plane out than I would like, and at slower speeds the bow stands a little too high, but we really like it. Even at 18' I still take it every place I took the 16 footer.
That being said, If not for the fact that we are on big water a lot, I may have opted for the 175, but am very happy with the choice we made.
But I really wish I had a stable of boats to choose from depending on where I was going on a particular day!!!

Does any one on here want to meet and greet and talk boats and crappie fishin? I think we could have a better AR page if we knew who each other were. I saw some guy at the river Sat afternoon and I but they were super nice crappie fishin guy. But They just didn't come up and go "Hey".

What can we do about this?

It's a 90......Could have had a 125 I think, but I have never caught a fish at more than 1 or 2 miles an hour! The 90 is nice when I have the wife and kid on big water but I miss my flatbottom when I want to catch crappie!

I kind of have mixed feelings about this.......I love talking boats and fishing but to be honest, I really dont get out that often and dang sure dont have much to brag about when I do get a chance to go. When I go, I usually have my son and he would rather brim fish than crappie fish and it is kind of hard to do both from the same boat, yet I want to keep him interested and cant hardly tell him he cant go.....I dont mind if someone comes by to see how we are doing but I am hesitant to go too near someone to ask the same for fear that I am encroaching on their space if they are catching some.(A problem I rarely have!)
I will always wave at fellow fishermen, (especially if they slow down when passing) but I try to save the talk for the boat ramp. Sometimes I have someone with me that wants to tell the others their whole life story and I try to keep that from happening...........But I am all for getting to know the members that haunt Little Maumelle since when I can go, I go there.

Hey Hog, that's the beauty of it. You'll have a spot close to home that you know you can depend on a few crappie from whenever you go. Spend a few hours in the boat with me or some of the others, and you'll have a few spots that always hold some fish. We also would like to get a few folks together and build some more crappie condos out there. Everybody that helps will know exactly where they are. You never know, after your boy gets into a mess of crappie, he might not go back to the bream.:D

    Default Tracker Allfish

Ceb, Ohio Angler here .We met at the spring crappie camp back in April.I bought a Tracker Allfish in the summer of 05 and am really pleased with it. The layout is pretty nice with a front and rear livewell.Lots of storage. It handles great even in rough water. The only regret I have is maybe not spending the extra money and going with a 4 stoke instead of a 2 stoke. But the 90 hp is more than enough for the Allfish. For the money I think it is a great package. Hey O.A., Good to see that your still checking in on us. I really like the looks of your boat. I like the low front deck with the wider beam. I don't guess that you will be able to make it back down here for Fall CC. I know that was a long, long, long haul for you. Too bad though, you could have taken me out for a ride.:D Why do you regret not getting the 4-stroker?

Ceb, Trust me, I would love to be back on Lake Greeson this fall with you guys. I thought about trying to make it but I have a family wedding in the Chicago area that same weekend.I hope you guys in your part of the country realize how blessed you all are to have so many great bodies of water to fish. I would give anything to live in the area you are in just for the fishing and hunting opportunities. As far as the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, it just seems the 2 stroke starts alot harder. Even after running it hard and then stopping to fish for an hour or so it still wants to restart kind of hard. It's not that bad ,just kind of annoying.I believe starting in 06 you could no longer get a Tracker with a standard 2 Stroke. It's either an Optimax or a 4 stroke. When I bought my boat in the summer of 05 it was like a 2 to 3 grand upgrade to go with a 4 stroke and I just chose not to spend the extra money. All of my previous boats had been fuel injected, electronic ignition, quick starting high performance competition ski boats( Ski Nautiques and Mastercrafts) so I think I was a little spoiled when it came to Quick, easy engine starts. And by the way ,I forgot to mention how stable the Allfish is with its wide beam.It is a very nice rig. Trailer and all! Dave C.

Yes Slipcork, I still fish out of an aluminum flatbottom. I remember in 1972 when my dad bought this boat I thought it was big. But as I've gotten older and fatter a 14/36 is tiny now. But since most of the places I fish don't have boat ramps, you just back off down a gumbo bank, it's still a good boat, just a little narrow at times. grizzly
Most people call them green onions, but they are really ---------?????

Sounds good, it is just a matter of me being able to get there. My fishing trips are few and far between, especially this time of year.
