What kind of trolling motor are you using? If you have a Terrova or Powerdrive, I would suggest using a mka47 bracket which allows the motor to be slid back flush with the edge of the boat so it will not be in the way of the winch on your trailer. As far as fasteners for the bracket/motor, my number one choice is going to be a stainless bolt with a washer and nylon insert lock nut on the bottom. If there is no access to the bottom, a rivnut would be my next choice. If that is not doable, some sort of toggle bolt will probably work out ok. I'm sure others that have done more of this than I will weigh in and offer some good suggestions.
Always do the work your self until you get to the point you need to take the parts to a dealer in a ziploc bag. It's the manly thing to do
