I just got a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 and I-pilot conversion. On the Powerdrive V2, the I-pilot conversion makes it where you do not have use of a foot pedal- You can only use the I-pilot remote ( which is great I might add). On the Terrova, you can use the I-pilot remote AND the foot pedal without making any changes to the motor. I agree with Nimrod that spider rigging is the best use of this type of "foot pedaless" trolling motor. If using the hand held remote- I can see a problem to operate it one handed while holding a jig pole in the other.

I need 2 hands to operate the remote- one to hold the remote and one to reach in my pocket for my reading glasses so can tell if I have the I-pilot remote or my cell phone in my hand !!!
