Myself and a good Crappie fishing friend from Hamburg (Jason) went to Grenada on Saturday to find out what all the fuss was about. Man, let me tell you that Grenada should be considered a National Treasure......that's a big lake folks. That is what you would call a REAL Crappie lake from the word go. We started out slow but with some much needed assistance and advice from Handi were able to get on a few of those Grenada slabs. Handi was "whackin' and stackin" when we ran into him on the water and I now have an appreciation for what that term means... we only had three Crappie.....he had already put fifteen large ones in the box and it was only 8:30!! We fished till 4:00 and came home with 31. We also caught 7-8 throwbacks, 1 drum and 6 catfish which we also threw back (3 of the blue cats were 3 lbers). Here are some pictures.
From the ARK-LA-MISS Delta....... Crappie Paradise ! ! ! !
