Thinking about piddling around conway tomorrow morning. Should i be casting jigs at the cypress or jiggin with my jig pole. Floatin it under a bobber? What tactic do i need to use this time of year. My guess is casting a jig

Don't be surprised if you get skunked out there , you'll be second guessing yourself almost right away , just got to spend the time and move a lot fish as many trees as you can, one of the toughest lake you can fish in summertime

I will say it one of my least like lakes in Arkansas. I almost rather fish in a 5 gal bucket then fish Lake Conway. Now I know there others that love fish it. I don't.![]()
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

I can see why folks don't fish Conway in the summer. The whole trick is knowing what trees are productive and going right to them to verticle jig them. I have about 50 trees or areas of trees I have confidence in that hold fish consistently in the summer. I don't waste too much time on anything other than those 50 spots running from one to the other. Yes allot of those 50 spots wont hold a fish but just about 10-20 of them a trip will hold fish. You do the math? This only comes from countless hours spent on the lake learning or having someone to show you. When you get to know the productive trees on Conway. Life gets easier in the summer with consistent catches.
